Morteza Zahedi...(More insect influences!)

These illustrations are from the book 'Play Pen' showcasing the varied work of many childrens book artists, including some works by Iranian illustrator Morteza Zahedi.

'Speaking about the quality and depth of Iranian illustration, he says: 'Maybe this is because before painting, graphic art and literature, in their current form came to Iran, We already had a culture of bookmaking and illustrating. The book and the process of bookmaking have historically been very important.'
