Kevin Van Aelst

This reminded me of what we were doing a couple of weeks ago with the earthquake illustrations, using unusual materials and objects to communicate information. This one illustrates the different types of cloud using mugs of coffee, I thought it was very cleverly done. To see more of his work, go to http://www.kevinvanaelst.com/art.html.

Looking into the Past

I got this link from the postsecret twitter page, and think it's awesome. It's much more interesting than having the two photos side by side, don't you think? I'd love to give it a try if I can find some old photos - the rest of you guys should do it too! :p

Beautiful Abandoned Buildings

These are the photographs I was talking about yesterday. I'm sure I must have found it through someone else's blog or twitter but it was quite a long time ago so I really can't remember. First, a link to the article on time.com, and a link to the photographers' website with more of their work.

I wish I could find places like this, but I'd probably be too scared to break into them anyway! :p
